LCFC report demonstrates opportunities for California to accelerate path to carbon neutrality
The California Air Resources Board has identified the Low Carbon Fuel Standard as a critical program to help California achieve carbon neutrality by 2045 and to improve air quality in the state.
A rulemaking document recently released by the California Air Resources Board suggests that the state will accelerate and extend the LCFS carbon intensity reduction targets for the transportation sector, achieving a 30 percent reduction by 2030 and a 90 percent reduction by 2045.
